Prior to opening NACR, during his seven-year term as a sales representative for Cansew Inc., Canada’s oldest and best-known garment industry supplier, Schoel would often say to his clients, "Need Anything, Call Ryan," which later served as the basis for the acronym NACR.
If for any reason he could not help a customer, Schoel ensured he directed those inquiring to the appropriate person. Armed with his honest approach to business, the bilingual salesman hit the road, visiting small, rural communities throughout western Canada, providing clients with the materials they sought to compete. Helping the little guy became the raison d'être of his business.
Shortly after launching NACR, Schoel in addition to CANSEW, stepped in to serve as the representative for RUBIE’S, the world famous costume design company, adding a new dimension to NACR - supplying retailers in addition to sewing product manufactures. |
To Schoel that meant allowing smaller businesses to provide what big box stores could not - visibly higher quality products that would appeal to the critical shopper. It was part of his approach to sell as a vendor what he would look for as a personal shopper. Excited by the opportunity to work with a large company that maintained traditional business values, Schoel took on the task of catering to Canada's growing Halloween market, while providing costumes, and party supplies like luau.
Most recently, NACR moved into the licensed sticker and collectors market. Providing its customers products through The Aquastone Group and PANINI brand, often found in dollar type stores and major retailers throughout the country. Today Schoel continues to visit his clients face-to-face, reminding them that if they
NEED ANYTHING CALL RYAN.
